Beginner's Solution
Step 2: Layer 1 Corner

After solving the cross, place it at the bottom and stop looking at it. Now, with the yellow center facing up, your eyes should be hunting for CORNER pieces with white stickers on it. These pieces are usually located at the four corners of the U layer; unless you are unlucky and you will find the corners are stucked in the bottom D layer.

After locating the corner, place it on top of the slot where you are supposed to insert the piece. For example, an orange-blue-white corner is supposed to be placed in between orange and blue center, directly above to the slot where you are going to insert it.

Next, apply the following algorithms accordingly one by one to each corner. This step will eventually solve the entire first (bottom) layer.

Case 01:
When white sticker is facing right
R U R'

Case 02:
When white sticker is facing front
F' U' F

Case 03:
When white sticker is facing up
R U2 R' U' R U R'

If the corner is stuck in the bottom layer, placed incorrectly, you have to bring it out to the top layer and then reinsert it back correctly. To bring the stuck corner out, simply perform any of these 3 algorithms, pretending that you are going to bring a piece into the corner slot and by doing this you will pop the intended corner piece out into the top U layer.
