Step 2 of Ortega's method of solving 2x2x2 is the orientation of the top surface, opposite to the Down face that you have built in step 1. There are in total 7 different cases of OLL, each resembling the 3x3x3 2 look OLL patterns, without the cross. If you dislike relearning the 2x2x2 algorithm for each case, you can go ahead and solve it like you solve a 3x3x3. I have included the complementary patterns in 3x3x3 for each 2x2x2 oll cases for reference.
